Employee engagement is a source of worry for leaders and managers throughout the world, since it is acknowledged as a critical factor in determining organizational performance, creativity, and competitiveness. Employee engagement has its origins in academic research, while it was generally seen as a practical consulting issue until the 1990s (Bedarkar et al., 2013).

Hi Gimhanai, I fully agreed with you. There is a positive relationship between employee motivation and performance. The higher employee motivation will add to the employee’s performance. (Trivellas, 2013)
ReplyDeleteHi Ramesh. Thankyou for your comment. High Employee Engagement and Motivation leads to high performance in the organization. To achieve and improve performance, organizations need active employee engagement by encouraging motivation (Riyanto et al., 2011).
DeleteHi Gimhani, Agreed with you. In today’s business environment as it is true with high job losses due to layoff and retrenchment to create a lean organization, it is also noteworthy for organizations to stop loses of performing employees due to decreasing job satisfaction and lack of motivation to continue with the organization for long. Motivated and satisfied employees will have committed approach towards organizational objective; in turn organizations will also have to show similar commitment towards employee objectives (Varma, 2017).
ReplyDeleteHi Dinith. Agreed. The human relations approach to management was pioneered by the Hawthorne Studies, in which managers' major focus is on their employees' needs and motivation (Bedeian, 1993).
DeleteHi Gimhani, I agree with the post. Since of late across all corporate and construction sectors Employee Motivation has become a widely practiced exercise. What moves the employees from weariness to attention is the basic idea of motivation which is derived from a Latin word “movere” which means “to move” (Mohsen et al., 2004).
